Some of the products they are best known for are the Stainless Steel 1.4122 Bar, known for its great strength, resistance to corrosion, and versatility. Ideal for applications in aerospace, automotive, and engineering markets, this grade of stainless steel is durable and reliable, ensuring superior performance in the most demanding environments. Sabra Metals is dedicated to delivering excellence.
Stainless Steel 1.4122 bar is a martensitic stainless steel, whose chemical composition consists primarily of 11–13% chromium, 0.9–1.2% carbon, and other smaller percentages of molybdenum, 0.7–1.1%; manganese, 0.5–1.0%; and silicon, 0.2–0.5%. Such a chemical composition provides very high hardness and strength, suitable for wear and toughness applications such as in automotive, aerospace, and tool industries. It offers good corrosion resistance, although less than that of the austenitic grades. The tensile strength falls in a range of 850–1150 MPa and the hardness ranges from 30 to 40 HRC.

Yes, Stainless Steel 1.4122 bars can be recycled after use. Stainless steel is highly recyclable, retaining its properties and reducing environmental impact, making it a sustainable material for reuse.
Yes, Stainless Steel 1.4122 bars can be welded. It is weldable using standard methods like TIG or MIG welding, though pre-heating and post-weld heat treatment may be required for optimal results.
Yes, Stainless Steel 1.4122 bars can be heat treated. It can be hardened through quenching and tempering processes, improving strength and wear resistance while maintaining its corrosion resistance properties.
Stainless Steel 1.4122 bars possess high strength and hardness along with moderate corrosion resistance, which make them useful for applications requiring toughness and wear resistance. Common uses include manufacturing of components in the automotive and aerospace industries, like shafts, gears, and turbine blades. High carbon content makes it an ideal choice for tool and die production, which includes cutting tools and molds. It is also in heavy machinery equipment, valves, and pumps, mainly exposed to heavy wear and tension. It contains less corrosion-resistance compared with austenitic alloys but is rather used for extremely high-strength applications where robustness and working performance are significantly required.
