Aluminium 5754 is a non-heat-treatable alloy that mainly consists of aluminum and magnesium (2.6–3.6%), along with trace amounts of manganese (0.3%) and chromium (0.2%). This composition gives it remarkable corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and industrial settings. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 210–300 MPa, yield strength of around 95–200 MPa, and elongation rates between 10–25%, depending on the temper. With moderate hardness and excellent formability, Aluminium 5754 forgings are perfect for applications that demand lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and durable components.
